One of the trophies seen in Picard's quantum archive in #StarTrekPicard's"Remembrance" is a Betazoid Loyalties Award. The trophy was seen at several ST exhibitions and I first noticed the trophy in

's gallery of the exhibition but quickly forgot about it. 2/8

It was also seen up close in the Ready Room episode for "Remembrance". Notice the Betazoid emblem seen on the trophy (clearly evoking the Holy Rings of Lwaxana Troi fame). In canon #StarTrek, meaning all of the episodes and films, no Betazoid/Betazed emblem was ever seen. 3/8

But there's a logo on the trophy, you say? Well, just google "Betazoid logo" or Betazed logo" and you'll find just this logo. I assume that's what the people making the trophy for the show did. They put it on the prop, assuming it was a legitimate canon logo. 4/8

But it isn't...or wasn't. The trophy does appear on screen in "Remembrance", so the logo has become canon. I next tracked down the origin of the logo. It was created in 2007 by a fan with the alias Zeleni who created it for the fan-based Birth of the Federation 2 gaming mod. 5/8

After some web-sleuthing (it was hard enough finding the very first appearance of the logo) I was finally able to catch up with David Bilic aka Zeleni, the creator of the logo, and let him know that his design had become canon. He kindly redrew his logo for
