The sky and the #fog have been doing glorious things to our view all morning, and I feel compelled to share. Here's a shot toward the east, as the sun was still sllllloooowly coming up. You can see a bit of the "fog snake" in the #YEGRiverValley through the buildings.

From this angle, taken pointed west, you can see the "fog snake" in all its glory. It really does look like a long cloud on the ground from above.

One last one, taken from the other balcony, pointed toward west. Maybe I'll sit in that chair today.

The fog snake returned this morning! I can't remember the last time that happened two days in a row.

Here's a full panorama of the view pointed east, from about half an hour ago. You'll have to embiggen to see the snake, but it's definitely there (even more pronounced than yesterday, I'd say), and loooooong.

(Sadly on a full panorama you also get to see the ugly empty surface parking lots that #YEGdt is littered with, sigh. But ignore that part.)

@IPEdmonton ooh, not sure I’ve ever seen it from above! Years ago I remember walking to the edge of the valley when the fog was significantly higher than the edges, watching cars drive into the clouds, with no visible land beyond.
@elora it’s such a privilege to get to see it from above. It’s the thing I’ll miss most about this apartment if and when we move.
@IPEdmonton It is high time the city throw in some money and raise some solar canopies in those parking lots. If they are not going to do anything about the transit infrastructure, might as well make use of the lots that way.
@IPEdmonton The city's cloud snake guardian was paying us a lovely visit today!
