Damn. What a setlist last night! Pretty much like or love every tune except for their cover of Magic Carpet Ride which I can take or leave. Hope the play is solid.
@chopaganda haven’t listened yet but seems like potentially the best jamband show in LA-proper ever ;)
@chopaganda q1 was tentative but gave way to a strong q2 (as covering the National will help one do) and s2 was bookended by strong stuff. Thatch the only surefire bracket jam but they catch some original space there for the first time in a few shows. Bummer tonight is not webcast!

@chopaganda Definitely didn't live up to the setlist but some good highlights as well.

Thatch was another great version. Red Bird had some nice improv and peak too.

@Backeasyjim @chopaganda hmm, it doesn’t rank up there with Detroit or Missoula but still thought this was a very good show, solid B+ with two jams I’ll definitely be revisiting
@Backeasyjim @chopaganda Thought the Tumble achieved takeoff velocity as well…
@chopaganda after Red Bird I thought it flowed very well and the playing was very good. Nothing mind blowing but Red Bird and Thatch are well worth your time.
@vriphish76 @chopaganda red bird + decent tumble is a nice way to end s1

@vriphish76 @chopaganda up until Red Bird it was a song-y, polite first set that I associate with 2011 Phish and that Goose has been doing a tad too much as of late. But Red Bird was excellent and everything after was no worse than good, if not face melting (like you said!).

They telegraph the segue into Hollywood a little sooner in the Wysteria than I would’ve liked, but good playing.

@DaveG924 @chopaganda yeah you could hear the HN coming as soon as they upped the tempo during Wysteria.
@vriphish76 @DaveG924 @chopaganda a very 2019ish hose jam in bird last night, except with jeff fills ;)
@chopaganda One small critique... They cut off the outro jam of This Old Sea. Granted, they went into Thatch but I really like the Sea jam. I'd rather they not lose it.
