@MessagingMatters @evacide Elon Musk appropriately removed an unnecessary team. Our government is ultimately responsible for election integrity and not private corporations or social media.
@thadguidry @evacide You miss the point. Giant platforms need to police themselves. Unless you're suggesting government do it for them, which would run afoul of the #FirstAmendment.
@MessagingMatters @evacide election integrity (vote counting, upholding election laws, etc.) are government affairs, not the responsibility of social media. But social media, like all media that people may/may not watch, with or without misinformation… can certainly gather or reduce voting. Elon removed an unnecessary team, and instead focused on a different team… people themselves (community notes).
