Big uptick in new people here from Twitter - WELCOME PALS, I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.

For those unfamiliar with the fediverse, the most important thing to note is that favs do absolutely nothing to help me pay my bills. Please boost my toots. Feel free to mock the way that sounds till you're blue in the face, as long as you still boost my toots.

@zudnick don't underestimate the importance of people seeing 'social proof' when they look at a post: if people see others have boosted something, they are more likely to boost it too. Regardless of how many followers you have, getting into the habit of boosting my toots is a great way to secure the boostability of my toots in the future.

@girlonthenet Well, I rather hoping for something more along the lines of "*Oh but you're held in such high regard within the fediverse that just 3 of your followers is enough*" but I guess being a +1 in your boost count will have to do. 😆
