HELP - Acer nitro V at crazy price - Lemmy.world

I found an acer nitro 5 with 1440p display and an RTX 3070ti for a crazy price around ~1000$. It sounds too good to be true and I suspect aggressive corner cutting. Is it an actual crazy good deal? Just random two cents here, but if I was looking to buy a gaming laptop right now, that would be the deal I’d be looking for.

Search for reviews of that laptop model and see what people are saying.

Heating issues gets mentioned a lot… Also battery life is apparently $hit

Unfortunately that is fairly normal for gaming laptops on the heating and battery life, for the price though it does seem tough to beat at least if you are set on a laptop instead of a desktop

You can also turn off the dedicated GPU generally to save on battery life when you aren’t gaming on it
