where's Ubuntu on wayland DE on linux mint? - sh.itjust.works

I installed 22.2 on my laptop, installed waydroid, it failed to launch, so i logged out, selected ubuntu on wayland, and waydroid works in that DE. I installed 22.2 on my friend’s laptop(way older), and 3 cinammon DEs were included but not the ubuntu DEs, so i can’t open waydroid on the second laptop. I don’t remember installing cinnamon any differently in the first or second laptop, did i somehow install ubuntu DEs on cinammon on the first laptop? I tried cinammon on wayland, but it launches into n unresponsive black screen.

Pivot to what?

because that’s fucking crazy. they were like “hey, instead of using this land for our new city, let’s take the trees from this land, strip their branches, transport them and shove them down into this lagoon in the next state, cut them so they’re all level and then build a city on millions of log butts. it’ll be fine in 1600 years.” and they were pretty much right. The alder trees the wooden piles were made from are apparently still composed of sound alder wood, fiber cellulose, and their composition and placing are a big reason why Venice is still afloat. fascinating article. this is the other article by the team that inspected one section of the piles themselves about 10 years ago: https://share.google/RLMuBm3wTDRaaI7m4 [https://share.google/RLMuBm3wTDRaaI7m4]

listening to some presidents of the United States of America. peaches, specifically. but I’ve been thinking about this point with a lot of bands, and songs I love, lately.

YSK chemtrails were real: the US military admitted in 1976 to dropping active biological and chemical agents onto US cities for decades from land, sea and air without notification or consent.

Cannot climb the base of the spire in Horizon: Forbidden West - sh.itjust.works

I’m playing with the keyboard and mouse, and the climbing is very clunky so far overall, but it seems completely broken for the spire. when I get to the second to the last hand holds and I have to reach out and then long jump to the highest hand holds so that I can jump into the spire, aloy reaches out but only jumps to the left or right off the spire, she will not jump up to the highest, final handhold, even if she’s reaching straight up. has anyone else played this with a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller? I’ve tried different key bindings and default, but she only jumps left or right off the spire and refuses to jump up to the highest handhold. it looks very much like this guys problem, but he’s playing it with a controller and finally solved it, sayd his problem was custom key bindings and the solution was default, but I can’t get anywhere with these keyboard controls. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qOS6Hw1x-tY [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qOS6Hw1x-tY]

Is there a way to mass ignore/block users that post too regularly? - sh.itjust.works

I like the organic community feel and when there are only four or five usernames posting the top 100 items in the feed, everything sort of blends together and lemmy feels stale. is there a setting to block anyone that posts too often or posts the same post in multiple communities? or should I just block anybody i notice who does that? I’ve blocked plenty, but they inevitably make new usernames and I’m wondering if there’s a simpler solution. thanks
