Spent 4 hours today fixing my #ubuntu #linux system, which decided it didn't want to boot 🙃​. After much pain, pleading, and perhaps providence, I determined the issue was a ill-considered graphics driver update (#nvidia breaks every update, I swear). Not even virtual terminals worked, but going straight to root did. But then name resolution doesn't work, so updating drivers is impossible. Finally got that fixed and it seems ok for now. But, I give it another #FourHours. #longestjohns
