Your not going to find anyone remotely qualified to be president with a fraction of the empathy of Joe Biden, who knows damn well the import of his decisions for his grandkids and all of their generation.

It's fine to wish for things, critical to make momentous decisions with eyes wide open to the reality of available options.

It's not at all clear there are better options.
Sure, there are a number of accomplished Democratic governors, Members of Congress, etc., but none of them have run a nationwide campaign, let alone a successful one.
Nor have any of them run the federal government, nor moved multiple historic bills through Congress with razor thin majorities.
Joe Biden has done all of that and more, and he has the power of the incumbency too, not to be sniffed at.

I read what you wrote. You wrote that you want someone younger. Then you wrote you wish there was someone better (defined in part by your prior words as younger).

I made it clear there isn't anyone better, not because there aren't many excellent possibilities, but because we already have an outstanding President running for a richly deserved 2nd term which is apparently still not good enough for you.

With negative partisanship, the right-wing echo chamber & epic failure of for profit media, each side starts at ~46%.

Jesus, Ghandi & Mother Theresa together would poll at maybe 48% in this environment, especially 13 months out with an active (if pathetic) GOP primary & no Democratic primary.

Give a listen to the Pod Save America guys some time, they do a good job explaining this stuff.
