It’s finally happened. Trump’s business empire is on the verge of total ruin as his decades-long practice of fraudulently inflating his property values led a NY judge to CANCEL the business certificates of the Trump Organization entities.

Kudos to NY Attorney General Letitia James for bringing this all to light and achieving accountability against Trump. He’s a fraud. He’s a rapist. And he’s a clear and present danger to our democracy.

But justice has caught up to him, and it is glorious to see.

I sort of see any comeuppance of the plutocracy for their crimes as a glorious victory, but... that's the result of literally decades of lowered expectations. All I can hope for is that this is the first crack in a very thick wall, and there need to be a lot more to come.

@georgetakei I'm pretty sure it will be appealed. I'll wait to see what the final decision is and that could take years.I expect their strategy will be to get a temporary stay until the appeals have worked through the courts.

He did lose one election and his actions since has been... Hmm .. erratic.

I know he has a cult following, but just like most Christians are not actually evangelical fundies, even though they are so very loud, maybe many (most?) Trump voters are not actually willing to ignore it all.

He doesn't need much fewer voters. He just needs not to gain new ones. And a lot of GOP voters are dying of old age, while DRC voters are growing up.

George, I'm glad to see Justice finally catching up with DJT as well. However, I worry that it is too little, too late.

We have recently seen him call for imprisonment or even summary execution of his political foes without any significant public backlash or fear on his part of alienating his supporters.

I am concerned that he has lowered the bar of acceptable behavior to a point that it could eventually lead to societal collapse if it does not lead to the collapse of the Republican Party. Recent polls indicate that the imminent collapse of the Republican Party is substantially less likely than it appeared to be a couple of years ago.
