Why does macOS Sonoma still not have a „Now Playing“ widget? Also, why does Apple Music not support HandOff/Continuity?
@gernot Is that a real question? There’s a Now Playing menu item, so don’t complain. I assume nobody gives a shit beyond that on the Mac. Just use the Music app. In parts, it’s as embarrassing as the Home app. Nd there’s not even a classical app.
@flo_muc Uh, sure, the menu item lives in a menu, and I want something that is always visible, how is that not a question? Especially since they have it on the iPhone…
@gernot For a number of years now, I find it both apparent and appalling how little the Apple teams in charge care about the music experience on the Mac. So, I don’t even expect them to do a widget. Fixing random stupid errors, like not being able to play, or maybe fix the MORE UI on an album would be a starting point. Unfortunately all other music services only have a shitty electron app, so there’s no real alternative. Maybe it just needs to be good enough these days.

@gernot NowPlaying widget for Apple Music, Spotify and Doppler (native Swift app): control playback, like tracks and adjust volume seamlessly.

@marco79cgn @gernot Is Sleeve a widget or is it an app that goes away when I click the desktop?
@marcintosh @gernot Sleeve is not a macOS "Widget" and does not appear in Notification Center, instead appearing at the Desktop level (or floating above other windows).
@marco79cgn @gernot As I suspected. Thanks for verifying.
