I recently signed up to https://www.postcrossing.com/

I recommend it if you are looking for an interesting, slow mail method of sharing and receiving postcards!

It's always fun to get interesting mail that doesn't really cost much or maybe anything (if you have spare or older unused stamps especially)

Postcards connecting the world - Postcrossing

A postcard exchange project that invites everyone to send and receive postcards from random places in the world. For free!

@jasonnab welcome to a super fun community. Don’t be discouraged when some don’t get registered. We have sent a little more than 300 so far and have 8 expired with a other one likely in 8 days ☹️ some of them eventually do get registered eventually. One took over a year 😳

Amazing that it can still be registered, I thought they expire after 60 days? Or can the sender extend the expiry?

I misread and thought you said only 8 got registered but it sounds like ~290+ got registered so far with a very small number NOT registered, if that's read correctly? :)

I am looking forward to sending and receiving interesting postcards!

I wonder if anyone's ever gotten or sent one to the Pitcairn Islands... doubtfully!

@jasonnab I’m not familiar with Pitcairn Islands but you can see postcrossing activity by country here: https://www.postcrossing.com/explore/countries @Jillianmarisa and I like to enter travel mode when we are traveling abroad to send postcard with other country’s abbreviations. Here’s our map. The home icons are places where we sent while in “travel mode”

It looks like there's one member from Pitcairn, but their postcard was never received 😭

I wish I had known about Postcrossing when I was in Europe and Japan, I really could have sent some good ones! Ah, next time then!
