Not at all holding my breath... We needed federal privacy legislation yesterday. We don't need attempts to undermine encryption or further enabling mass surveillance by private and public organizations alike.

We need the right to refuse.

Was recently looking at hotels in Europe. Every site had a REFUSE ALL button right below the accept button.

In the US refusing is a maze of incomprehensible screens and choices.

@mastodonmigration @avoidthehack There are no necessary cookies and no legitimate interests. You can build a webpage without all of these. Maybe we should build a compendium of all webpages that can be used without any cookies. New indicator of quality content on the web.
