@wellingtonrock After dropping back to a little over $4.00/gallon in the spring, gas prices in our area of Southern California have soared to well over $6.00! Have been unable to find any valid reason for it.

@edgeoforever I am positive that there is some nefarious reason. It's publicly been blamed on domestic refinery outages. It happens so often that I'm wondering why refineries aren't built and maintained better. Also blaming floods in Libya. Of course the floods just happened less than 2 weeks ago, and prices have been soaring all summer. I call BS.

@wellingtonrock

My household recently switched from a 2 hybrid family to a 1 hybrid, 1 EV family. Solar panels charge the EV, the hybrid we kept averages 45.8 mpg.
Next summer, when the new EV is paid off, we're switching to a 2 EV family, and I'll be able to stop gas use completely. That will be a good day.
