This is how he strings along vendors who do work for him or his companies when they press for payment. He is notorious for not paying contractors. He will tell them he'll pay in 2-3 weeks over and over until they either get tired of asking and write it off, or shithead claims the work was bad and so refuses to pay for it.

I worked for a guy who did this. He eventually was sued out of existence for theft of service when he tangled with the wrong company. I had bailed long before then and heard through the grapevine.

I'm just saying that this is an automatic response. There is no truth there and no one should believe it. It's his ethos.
