My self-defense misjudged, a pattern:

My self-defense misjudged as 'mean'.
My self defense misjudged as 'vindictive'.
My self defense misjudged as 'toxic'.
My self defense misjudged as 'malicious'.
My self defense misjudged as 'being dramatic'.
My self defense misjudged as 'making a scene'.
My self defense misjudged as 'cruel'.
My self defense misjudged as 'trying to be spoiled'.
My self defense misjudged as 'manipulative'.

My self defense misjudged as 'selfish'?!

@GreenRoc depends. How do you act? Reacting is totally your right, but how you behave afterwards is all on you

@wEdawgg "how you behave afterwards is all on you"

I dont have control over some of the things that my body does. People tend to get pretty mad at these things I have no control over.

It's involuntary, these things that happen. I try to avoid these things but the stimulus that triggers them wont stop doing the triggering.

Screaming, cussing, self abuse, falling on the floor, numerous different stuff, nothing I want to chose to do. I try to avoid but I cant stop the triggers.

@GreenRoc then you are a victim of yourself.

Because there is something you could do you could choose to do something different, but you choose to do the same

Note: put that way… it does kinda seem like they were right to begin with if even you too are a victim of these actions.

@wEdawgg Yes, I am terrified of myself. I am terrified of what my body will do when it is stimulated with the things I dont want to be encountering.

It's hurt and ended friendships, it's hurt family, it's broken some bones of mine, and some torn ligaments, it's terrifying to live inside this body.

I cant stop triggers, because triggers are other people making certain noises and saying certain things, and many other human-made things that pose a threat to me.

I need people to understand.

@GreenRoc it seems like a lot of how you feel depends on the outside world being exactly the way you want it to be.

I would suggest really tearing apart the thoughts about why you need to control others to feel safe personally.

But about the other stuff…

triggers can be hard thing for anyone to tackle. And I wasn’t saying that you’re not allowed to have them or that they shouldn’t affect you the way that they do.

all I’m saying is how you lash out to other people is in your control.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc dude. Ptsd IS A DISABILITY
If someone is saying "stop hurting me" and you say "its selfish to scream"
You are probably in the wrong.
Stop harassing people. Thats You being a abusive.
Get over yourself and stop being a bigot and a bully.
@CatHat @GreenRoc how am I harrassing anyone? I just said one thing. Then they replied. So I did.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc roc is disabled and has ptsd.
You are ableist.

Roc this person wEdawdgg is ableist and doesn't know anything.

@CatHat @GreenRoc is this the same rock who can beat me at super smash Bros?

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc the person you decided to imply deserves DARVO.

Thats pretty fucking appalling.
It IS NOT SELFISH to want your noisy verbally abusive neighbor to LET YOU SLEEP.

What roc described is a standard abuse pattern of saying the victim deserves it.
And you dont get to say that you covered it with "reaction is a right" because you ignored the fact that the OP didnt leave ROOM for ACTION.
Roc choosing to vent online is a REASONABLE reaction.

@CatHat @GreenRoc if you interpreted me saying that they have more choices and how they behave and act, then just the same one that seems to hurt other people… as an attack then I’m gonna assume this is your own defense mechanism lashing out. I’m merely was trying to remind him he has some agency in his actions.
@wEdawgg @GreenRoc YOU control whether you are victim blaming or not. Yes congratulations on accepting responsibility for being verbally abusive.
@CatHat @GreenRoc I didn’t accept that responsibility. I literally just said then you should accept that you are victim of yourself. Which is still true, especially when he claims he cannot do anything about it.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc yeah autism is a disability.
Noisy selfish neighbors who wont stfu at midnight aren't reasonable.

Why the fuck are we discussing this?

@CatHat @GreenRoc so you ARE Avery?

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc who the fuck is Avery?
No.
Im not a gamer.
Look if you are having a flashback im sorry.
Avery may be someone who tells you the same things. And if so is probably right.
But im not who you think.

You jumped to the wrong conclusion.
GreenRoc is a she last time I checked.
She has verbally abusive and very noisy neighbors.

You are talking to someone who doesn't know you and your personal issues.

This IS a case of you being in control of you.

@CatHat @GreenRoc well I’m sorry I don’t know them. I just assumed gender like you did.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc *facepalm.

Self defense is a reaction not an action.
trying to arrange not to need to do it is an action.
True "please shut up after midnight" is an action.
It's a reasonable one.

@CatHat @GreenRoc … I’ll repeat this a third time ig

I didn’t know the original content. I just saw the post “my x is misunderstood for y” and I said “depends” which does in itself does include “you’re right sometimes.”

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc now you know why understanding the context BEFORE you reply is important!

In this case I suspect someone who isn't disabled could probably make a valid noise complaint and have her neighbors cited as a public nuisance

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc you are technically correct in what you said. That "it depends"

You picked the wrong way say it and the wrong time to double down

@CatHat @GreenRoc you are right for protecting your friend. Hence why I didn’t get stupid defensive. Just explained where I was coming from. Roc, I’m sorry
@wEdawgg @GreenRoc thank you for understanding my part.
I cant respond for Roc but if you check her feed you can see what she was thinking.
I suggest you edit your posts to show that you understand where Roc was coming from
Idk if she'll accept this but ill point it out.

@CatHat @GreenRoc hopefully she’ll just read the posts she’s tagged in. But if not…

I didn't know the original content. I just saw the post "my x is misunderstood for y" and I said
"depends" which does in itself does include
"you're right sometimes."

I’m sorry for being a know-it-all who didn’t know anything about the context.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc i hope shes feeling better.
In this context shes right.
The problem of misunderstanding is a big one. I try to assume people mean well and fuck up a lot.
Which is why i said you implied things.

@wEdawgg @CatHat Ty for apology. I am not Smash Bros player, I avoid pvp games.

Yesterday, neighbors called me 'mean' from past events. Best of my recollection, I was in involuntary autistic meltdown after trying to defend myself and being rejected and yelled at by neighbor in the occasion they refer to as me being 'mean'.

Yet most everyday, since 2019, my brain shock from their dog-related noises heard through my bedroom wall. Wake me up. Involuntarily I scream sometimes. Sudden noise trigger

@CatHat @GreenRoc and you’re right. I think I’ve controlled myself from lashing out at you very much so. And considering I didn’t know what the original context was…. Your random ass comment about neighbors was really confusing.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc its not random.

Congratulations on assuming sight unseen that someone who says they are the victim of a standard darvo pattern of verbal abuse must have done something to deserve it.

Afaik its limited to asking her neighbors to stop being so fucking noisy and control their dog.
They trigger her and she says "that hurts" and they say shes selfish for wanting some peace and quiet.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc
I checked back to find out what happened to make her break down and reached the obvious conclusion someone kicked her while she was down.

Shes NOT responsible for my behavior.
I am.

Your reaction to the opening post is one i would probably react badly to under ANY circumstances. In this case knowing the back story im pissed.

@CatHat @GreenRoc wait wait wait lol I just picked this up. Are you saying he is a victim then? Because then I really wasn’t lashing out. Just stating me obviously like you seem to be able to and it’s not an insult when you do it.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc no. Im angry because you are an ableist jerk.
Take responsibility for your actions.

Men.
Bah

@CatHat @GreenRoc again with the insults. Jeez. Well I wish he told me he felt attacked. I would have eased up a little on the honesty.
@CatHat @GreenRoc also, I didn’t say he deserved it. And are you Avery?
@wEdawgg @GreenRoc *facepalm
No.
Im a random cis woman you royally pissed off for being a massive jerk to my friend
@CatHat @GreenRoc ohhhhh I see. Did he ask for your help? Or was attacking me or even replying now necessary? Because some could interpret the many insults and an attacks that you’ve thrown my way even after agreeing with me … as lashing out

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc congratulations on figuring out you ARE being scolded.

Yes i am dressing you down and giving you a tongue lashing
This is a deliberate choice on my part.

@CatHat @GreenRoc oh good job. I feel very ashamed of my actions. You should be proud.

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc

You started off in the wrong.
You still are. Congratulations on attacking someone for having a breakdown because their neighbors create too much noise to sleep.
A man who ISN'T disabled would be able to call the cops.
Roc can't.

@CatHat @GreenRoc you do realize that that was not a post I saw I only saw the one about how self-defense is mistaken and I said “depends”

@wEdawgg @GreenRoc yes.

You started by assuming she was wrong.
Im telling you that about 9/10ths of the time sue says something its because her neighbors are an absolute nightmare.
