🔒 Privacy Pro Tip! 🔒

If, like me, you find yourself using apps that have a reputation for being a bit invasive (yes, TikTok, I'm looking at you!), here's a nifty trick to help protect your personal space even while you indulge in some entertaining content.

Consider installing these privacy-invading apps inside Android's "Work Profile." 📱 What's that, you ask? It's like having a secret sandbox where these apps can play, away from your personal data and sensitive information.

How to do it? Well, there's a cool open-source app called "Shelter" that can help you set up this sandboxed environment. It's like giving these apps their own little world to roam in, while your personal stuff stays safe and sound.

So, why not give it a whirl? Your privacy deserves a little extra love, and Shelter's got your back. 🛡️

@mitexleo god I wish iPhone had this 😭

Relegated to shoving them on a separate device but due to the mesh network it still impacts my phone. Can't win for losing.

@raantuva Apple has Corporate Containerization feature. It's works differently than Work Profile.

@mitexleo Doesn't work without calling support. Used to be my job. Creates interference with other functions of my devices. If they were all brand new it would be ok but the accounts are old and having too many gets you flagged.

I hope this helps someone else though!!!!

@mitexleo @raantuva

That is, •if• you really need to use those mobile “ #apps “. For instance, #TikTok, as far as I know, works totally fine in any “major” #browser (and even many “not so major” ones). #BetterParanoidThanSorry 😉
@adalah @mitexleo Wasn't asking for advice, that level of hashtag use also really annoys me please don't do that or assume things. Thank you!

Your posts looks like this..

Painful to read sometimes 💔

@mitexleo @raantuva

I think it’s beneficial and I don’t feel any pain (to the contrary). After all, it’s a matter of how a specific #UI renders it, e.g. with regards to #colors.
I know people are different, but that goes both ways.

@adalah @raantuva How is this beneficial? Am I missing something?

Off for now, please stay in touch. We can talk about features and methods another time.
@mitexleo 🤷🏾 it is what it is. I'm slowly extricating myself from their ecosystem. Moving to Europe. Won't be buying an iPhone when I get there.
