One of the biggest changes for me in middle age is how uninteresting I find the idea of trying to make my friends and loved ones be any different than they are. Total acceptance of people just as they are is a beautiful kind of freedom. (Not including racist or otherwise oppressive attitudes or actions, of course.)
@serenebabe Trying to change people in general seems wrong, so kudos for willing to accept people as they are.
However, as much as acceptance is important, if you see a friend/partner doing something that you think is wrong, or something that may be hurting them/others, I feel like bringing it up with them is only a sign of how much you care IMO.
