@mlanger I’m just glad to have good insurance and a hospital nearby. At my last job I would have worried about the cost a lot more.

It's horrible that we have to think about the cost of an emergency room visit before decided whether to get help. After paying $1600 for a bloody nose, I’ll be very careful about what I go to the hospital for.

The worse thing for me: my insurance probably doesn't cover me at all in the states I'll be traveling to over the next two years. That means that if I get sick, I'll have to be transported back to WA for care.

I give my wife a hard time for how often she needs to see a doctor because I’m out a $40 copay each time.

Can’t imagine paying $1600.
