US Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and his wife charged with bribery offenses in connection with their corrupt relationship with three #NewJersey businessmen, according to federal prosecutors.
"A press event will be held today at 11:00 a.m. to announce the unsealing of an indictment charging Robert Menendez, U.S. Senator from New Jersey, and his wife, Nadine Menendez, with bribery offenses in connection with their corrupt relationship with three New Jersey businessmen." - US Attorney's Office SDNY https://www.facebook.com/usaosdny/
The federal charges come nearly six years after an earlier criminal case against Senator Menendez ended with a deadlocked jury. This latest indictment is unrelated to the earlier charges that alleged the senator accepted gifts to pressure government officials on behalf of a #Florida doctor.
