Während sich in Deutschland 15.000 Transportanträge für Windräder bei der Autobahn GmbH stapeln, weil u.a. der Weg zum Zielort "beschwerlich" ist, schaue ich mir dieses Video an und denke: What the hell, Deutschland...
@peterjelinek just so many questions, why can't most of the blade be inflatable with just the first ~30-40% rigid subframe. I presume there are good structural engineering answers to that question that warrant the difficulty in transportation to deployment location.
@acesabe @peterjelinek because they'd be useless on a turbine without the proper shape/weight/strength. It's not exactly as crazy as it looks too, these haulers have multiple engines and someone is actually steering that back section independently, plus the routes are planned and measured, this corner is NOTHING compared to where these trucks are designed to be able to navigate, we would get hundreds of these dropped off per site.
