I LOVE rhythm games... I honestly think it's my fave genre of game.

Today I've been playing Muse Dash (Steam) https://store.steampowered.com/app/774171/Muse_Dash/ Such a fun game, with some awesome music.

Other faves include Rhythm Tengoku/Paradise/Megamix (GBA/DS/3DS), Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (3DS) and Taiko no Tatsujin (Switch, with the Drum)

@andycarolan PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Play #Arcaea. I cried over how good the game was and it is so FUN. It's on Switch for $30 and it is the closest thing you can get to a true Japanese arcade game experience at home
@SF89io Ooh, I will check that out, thanks!
@andycarolan a new major update was just announced for the mobile version so uhh just un time i guess
@SF89io I've downloaded it on my iPad so will try it after work! Thanks
@andycarolan

Hey! Here are some tips:

I recommend you to play the Main Story first (if you are going to play any paid packs). Play the pack Eternal Core first since it has the fundamentals of the game. Then play Luminous Sky, Vicious Labrynth, Adverse Prelude, Black Fate, and the hidden pack IN THAT ORDER (otherwise you will be overwhelmed).

There is a good Muse Dash collab pack that you might like but I have not played it since I am broke.

Some good side story packs for beginners include Crimson Solace and Ambivalent Vision since they were released first. If you want something harder you can play the Absolute Reason, Binary Enfold, and Esoteric Order packs.

I do not recommend getting Memory Archive songs since it's just very incoherent and it's just a massive jumble of songs.

Laat but not least, get an anti slip mat (rubber works well) or kids rubber case if you play on tablet. Otherwise it is practically impossible to play.

Welcome to the world of glass, and enjoy!

@SF89io Whoa, thanks for all the info! I'm working at the moment, but I will check that all out a bit later :)
@andycarolan I just got out of school and I wanted to share some EVEN MORE important tips:

1. Make sure to set your scroll speed to something readable. By default the scroll speed is unreadable especially in high difficulty charts (particularly hard PRESENT charts and beyond) so it is a good idea. I set my speed at 5 but I think that 3.0 is a good speed for you.

2. Use Tairitsu or high STEP partners for world mode. Unless if you play the Nintendo Switch version which has no stamina, the best way to play Arcaea is with high STEP count partners since stamina is limited and having a slightly harder partner is better for farming steps. The trade off between a harder gauge and more STEP is worth it since most beginners tend to be preoccupied with keeping a full combo on charts and the normal gauge's difficulty increase is very slight.
