For mania, I set OD to 15 in 4K and 11 for 7K. They also play mania along with their friends so they'd fun to watch me fail as well. There's HP Bleed, No Heal, or Slow Heal variants. I usually pick HP Bleed and No Heal.
HP Bleed makes me lose a little bit of HP if I don't get a perfect hit. My "tormentors", the way I see people who betrayed me, would like to keep me on edge and humiliate me when I fail.

Random and Mirror mod because of course they don't want me to succeed so I put a little hint of RNG whether I win or not regardless of "skill". I mean I don't even like learning the patterns.
Repel mod from time to time because I mainly use Relax, and this mod makes circles literally cringe away for how terrible I am with the game.

...So I consciously choose to make it a "personal hell" to play by raising the difficulty.
For standard mode, I never play below AR 11, I set OD and HP most of the time to 5.5 but if I can handle 5.5, I set both 11. Not because I want to improve, but because it symbolizes how much they'd like to troll me over and over again and laugh when I fail. CS is set to 2 because I have a bad aim and failing immediately bores "them"

I think it's about time I told everyone (who's interested) why I'm still playing osu even though I'm terrible at it and I've hit my wall a really long time ago.
I didn't really discover osu on my own. It was introduced to me from the same friends who'd eventually betray me a year after. That was 6 - 7 years ago.
I'd be lying that for every time I play it, I still feel a little bit of loathing...
