This is a flipped seat from being held by a Republican. NH Democrats have now won eight of the nine special elections this year. Don’t pay attention to polls. Pay attention to results. This was a Trump district. Now it isn’t.

In a second special election in #Pennsylvania, Democrats retained a seat and kept the state house majority. The bigger news about it is the margins.

SHALER TOWNSHIP (the bulk of the district.)

2008: McCain +10
2012: Romney +9
2016: Trump +7
2020: Trump +0.14
2023 Special: DEM +10

These candidates both campaigned on reproductive rights. (Amongst other issues, of course.)
