So bizarre to hear, on @NPR just now, a BJP member insisting there can be no anti-Sikh prejudice from his Hindu nationalist party or in India at all because there has been a Sikh PM, and that it's racist to suggest anyone connected with India could privately carry out criminal activity.
Then again, we have a lot of people in the US insisting that there is no anti-Black prejudice because Obama was president, and that you're an anarchist opposed to law and justice if you suggest any individual police officer might be corrupt or bad. So I don't know why I'm surprised.
@Dangandblast I'm very confused. Every anarchist i know is very much suggesting that the US gov IS corrupt because they (the us gov/cops) always support every individual police officer....might be a different case if, say, all the nurses and doctors organized themselves instead.. ... EVERY anarchist I have ever met acknowledges that anti-black racism exists. The question is not if it does, but what to do about it. How do we END it? THAT is the question.
@Dangandblast you are probably confusing anarchists with the Libertarian Party. Ok, I get it. It's easy and politically useful to you...but they're not the same thing, jackass.
@Dangandblast sorry. It's just that everything i hear is so terrible. *sigh*
@possum555 I think you may be confused. I'm not confusing anarchists with anybody or making any statements about them at all, so there's certainly no need to call me a jackass, no matter how bad a day you've been having.
@possum555 what I was saying, to draw an American corollary to Indian politics, was that some in the US will insist that anyone who's not a rah-rah unconditional cop cheerleader must be entirely opposed to any semblance of law and order and support anarchy.

@possum555 and, in case it somehow didn't come through in that or the entirety of my other posts, I'm not one of those "some Americans" any more than I am one of those who insist that Obama's election proves there is no racism in the US.

Sorry for any confusion.

@Dangandblast No problem, But i feel i need to explicitly say, I an an anarchist and support human rights for palestinians, even if it is democratically wrong. All people have human rights regardless of their acceptance in international aggrements. (A)
@Dangandblast to be fair, i'm not really mad. I've just heard so many people talk about terrorism my whole life and then say ah, that's terrible, anarchism is the worst, like all those terrorist groups/political parties. We're different, the X party ....
