I'm working on an introductory pitch paragraph for my game Collectors. This is what I have so far:

"Collectors is a fast-paced, strategic worker placement game for 2-5 players. In Collectors, players compete to collect the most valuable items by strategically placing their workers on the board. The game is constantly evolving as new items are introduced and the market changes, so players must be quick to adapt their strategies. Collectors is a game of high interaction, with players constantly vying for control of the best items and abilities."

I want feedback if this sounds interesting or simply too generic. Would this pique your interest?

Latest version:

Collectors is a worker placement game designed for 2-5 players, where the goal is to gather the most valuable artefacts with just 10 actions. The artefact’s worth is constantly shifting, driven by player actions and inaction. In this game, you must navigate a landscape of limited but impactful turns. But beware, your opponents are trying to do the exact same thing!

@erik_a_sunden do items cash out at the end, or what drives players to hold things?

Also, how are you expecting to handle the zero sum effect at 2 vs having it be 3-5?

@grayson the items are the only things that scores you points by the end of the game.

The number of actions a player can take is very limited, you can specialize in ways that make some items more valuable to you or cheaper for you.

@erik_a_sunden hmm. Ok. I admit, boardgame marketing isn't my specialty. (Sorry).

It sounds like an interesting idea. I'm interested in how it progresses (especially a draft rule set to push around some pieces at home).

@grayson I can provide a Print and Play version if you are interested to give it a try?

@grayson a few hours ago I realised how I should rebuild some parts of the board so that will change, but the rules will be the same for now
@erik_a_sunden I'll take a look at the rules and provide some feedback later this weekend.

Being in the midst of a covid surge sort of means no playtesting at the moment, but with a picture of the board, I should get a decent idea of what it's going to do.
@erik_a_sunden
Seems very good. Only thing is the last sentence. Isn't it obvious that the other players are doing the same?
Maybe if they can block you highlight that or how you interact with them?
Maybe how mean/not mean the game is?
