As a Child i read The Carpet People from our local library when it first came out.
Years later I rang the library to ask the author as I couldn't remember. The librarian got very excited saying of course we had the book because at that time Sir Terry LIVED IN OUR VILLAGE.
The first two discworld books had just been published so I rushed out and bought them.
Been a huge fan ever since.
