Autumn is warming all across Alaska and vicinity, with cascading impacts to other parts of the climate system, the ecosystem and to human society. The massive 50-year increase in average temperature on the North Slope and Northwest Arctic Borough are greatly enhanced by the collapse in autumn sea ice in the Chukchi Sea, and to a lesser extent in the Beaufort Sea, in the 21st century. #akwx #Arctic #ClimateChange #ClimateCrisis
