@rgutzen Modelling electrical stimulation - often axons are stimulated, predominantly exciting the cell that the axon belongs to.

@kkorvasova modeling to support experimental or clinical applications is a good example.
I also thought generally about dendritic computation and field potentials, but don't know of an example (behavioral) function that really relies on morphologies and cannot be modeled by only point neurons.
