As of 9/6/2023, there have been at least 1.13 million U.S. deaths due to #Covid19, with an excess death total of approximately 1.27 million additional fatalities.

In terms of 9/11s, COVID19 represents 377 to 801 9/11s occurring.

And I see nobody acknowledging those deaths in the "mainstream."

This isnt coping. Its denying & erasure.

Beyond that, even. Don't forget those noxious "~1 million workers are mysteriously missing" articles that get published about every quarter.

@hannu_ikonen I very much appreciate this assortment of hashtags, but extra for #NormalIsGross
@hannu_ikonen add to that the many who died of Climate Change this year, heat strokes and the like, buried in the news so as not to alarm anyone.
But sure, 'Never Forget'
@hannu_ikonen
And we wonder why we have a labor shortage.

@hannu_ikonen

9\11 was bad because it was fundamentalist Muslims killing people.

Covid-19 doesn't matter because it's free-market-fundamentalist capitalism that's killing us. That's what, in the biz world, they call the cost of doing business.

@hannu_ikonen Was just about to write something similar now that day is over.

Yeah, we don't actually give a shit about the dead, and only do so if they can be used for political expediency to make Dick Cheney some money.

@hannu_ikonen
The bright side is that the dead and disabled are disproportionately Republicans.
