I was raised in part by #women who identified as radical #lesbian #feminists. By radical they meant advocating for the first battered women’s shelters, criminalizing rape and the like (ie not dogmatists). The next gen in #academia (mostly white) feminists smeared them as lacking in #diversity. These gatekeepers really destroyed the #grassroots nature of this #culture. I didn’t really challenge these power #academics but knew they had it at least partly wrong and that they were more out of touch.
