I'm using Arc version 1.6.0 and Extension pins are not saving. Anyone else? I reported the bug as best as I could.
@cdevroe I’ve seen that issue early last week as well. I disabled the new toolbar and haven’t had the issue since.
@ronheft Which new toolbar?
Can I show my URL & Extensions at all times? | Arc Resources

The Arc Toolbar keeps your URL Bar and Pinned Extensions in view at the top of your window for easy access.

@ronheft Oh I see. That toolbar isn't on for me. I use my Extensions via the hover icons on the far right side of the browser. It is there they do not save when Pinned. Perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly. But it was working previous to the most recent update.
@cdevroe That’s the correct way. Any pinned extension should show on the right when hovering.

@ronheft So disabling the toolbar made those hover icons visible for you?

Thanks for your help on this.

Also, am I correct that every Space has to have its own Extensions installed?

@cdevroe With the toolbar on, pinned extensions are supposed to show on the toolbar (instead of the hover area). They weren’t showing reliably, so I disabled the toolbar, and pinned extensions have reliably been showing in the hover area.

@cdevroe You correct that every profile needs to have extensions installed. Spaces can share profiles, so if you only use one profile, you don’t need to install extensions for every space.

For example, I have a General and Finances space that use one profile, while my Development space has a unique profile.

@ronheft Yes. Perfect. Thanks. I was just making sure I wasn't installing a bunch of stuff I didn't need.

Any favorite parts of Arc or tips for this newb?

@cdevroe You’re welcome!

Two of my favorite things:

* Little Arc - pairs nicely with my RSS reeder to keep the cruft out of my browser tabs

* Leaning into spaces and pinned tabs. - I create a space for each project. It’s wonderful when context switching, every pinned tab is where I left it and nicely organized in folders.

@ronheft OK, so I've already learned something from you. I also have a Profile for each context (Personal, Work, Side gig 1, Side gig 2) and a Space for each of those. And I have favorites, pinned tabs and today tabs. But I didn't know I could make Folders!
@ronheft One Arc feature I’m currently enjoying is when I find a longer page I'm reading I hit CMD+S to remove the chrome of the browser.
@cdevroe I do the same! I'll also do that before screen sharing, so I'm only sharing the tab I want.
@cdevroe CMD + SHIFT + C is great for quickly copying links into Slack chats too.
@ronheft Unfortunately that is my global Maccy shortcut. But, I don't mind CMD+L and CMD+C.
@cdevroe All the shortcuts are customizable in Arc’s preferences, so you can choose an alternative too.
@cdevroe Yeah, same. It's intermittent for me but I haven't tried figuring out what triggers it.
