By now, you may or may not have heard that 4 Vice journalists/editors recently quit to found their own venture. @404mediaco has already been breaking news. One piece, for instance, resulted in the New York MTA discontinuing a "feature" after showing stalkers could use it to track people without their knowledge (https://www.404media.co/mta-will-disable-omny-trip-history-feature-abuse/). 404 Media doesn't (yet) have much of a presence on Mastodon, but I'm hoping that will change.

NYC Subway Will Disable ‘Feature’ That Leaked Trip History After 404 Media Investigation

Around 24 hours around 404 Media published its investigation the MTA says it will disable the feature, which an expert said was a “great fit” for abusers.
