Dr. Clare SammellsWhile here in #Ushuaia, I've joined a local chorus. I sing #Barbershop in the US, and this chorus also performs popular (Latin American) music. I'm found that an important part of ethnographic research (for me) is finding a group of local people to engage with who are not directly connected to the research. These singers are that community for me!
It is a challenge -- I've never sung in Spanish before (although I do speak it fluently) and sometimes I get tongue-tied. But it's great to learn a new set of skills!
