@QuirkyFilms I do like this movie, but it feels like it was heading for a different ending.

**Spoiler Alert**

There is a theme about how far someone will go to protect their children. A better ending for that theme would be if authorities took him into custody for his violence after his daughter was safe. He could surrender peacefully, knowing that he wasn't going to get away, but also knowing his daughter was safe, and it was a willful sacrifice.

@adamcook
In reality, no country is going to bother pursuing this I would of thought as he killed a lot of bad guys and removed a problem off the streets of an ally. Also a protected son of the CIA and god knows what other black ops U.S. security agencies.
In Taken 2 he seeks haven at the U.S Turkish Embassy after the taxi daughter rescue and chase. It goes without saying some explanations would have been given but he is obviously free to go with the U.S. authorities knowing what will happen next.
