Does anyone have any memes or comics about how the entire Internet but especially infosec hinges on the expertise of transfem furries? Plz?
My family: why do you know about how fursuits are sewn anyway?
Me: because I'm interested in infosec so I follow infosec experts on the Internet
My family: what?
Me: what?
Oh hey now that I have all the world's top Infosec experts in one place I have a question:
Is it a bad idea to play ingress on my phone?
@coolandnormal they're going to be interestingly complex things to sew. there's got to be some stuff going on with the paws

@Dangerous_beans I'm almost certain I could make a fursuit. I have industrial sewing skills. However I realised after a very small amount of research, so do furries.

If I want an industrial sewing machine I'll have to justify it another way.

@coolandnormal Go to enough Python developer conferences, and you learn both how to pick locks, and the brewing of beer with the finer nuances of yeasts.

We moved into new office space, sat down at my station and noticed a drawer. It was locked. Wandered over to the receptionist with the number from the front of it asked for the key… which was nowhere to be found.

"Welp, time to wield some skills I don't at work, normally" and I pulled out my Covert Companion pick set.

@alice @coolandnormal And occasionally engineering new strains of yeast to brew with. Or is that just Linux kernel dev meetups?
@coolandnormal lol. I think @SwiftOnSecurity can probably help here I’d think ….

@coolandnormal That's the best thing I've heard all fucking week.

Thank you for the smile.

I'm sure there's one in which someone calls system admin so she puts on a fur suit like it's industrial PPE for dealing with computers and goes into the server room to whip the furries who make everything work.

I've been putting increasingly odd search terms into duck duck go without finding it.

@coolandnormal sounds like something Swift on Security would have
@coolandnormal No, but I do have one or two posts about it..

@coolandnormal

#/alt4me thank you to @Cassandra 💚

there’s a really good comic where charmander says you’re underestimating the furry count… I don’t have it but hopefully someone does

A photo of the cabin of an airplane. There are three people who appear to be flight staff, and otherwise the cabin is full of furries, dozens of them. The poster has written: "So many furries in one flight. Tag them if you know them!"

Someone has replied: "I object to that many furries being on the same airplane because if there were an accident it could basically cripple the American IT in an instant."

@coolandnormal Ok I'm chilling a bit. What I can offer is this:

When I came to Masto few years back it was SUPER GLBT+ friendly. And there's Furries all over the damned place.

"This is interesting" thinks me.

The Mastodon culture, then and now, is pretty good at tolerance. Furry culture, while not mine is actually rather integrated and that makes me grin a bit. Being iconoclastic myself, I like counter culture.

I'm also InfoSec, and so, folk pressing broken systems makes me happy.

Edits.
