Everytime I’ve ever been there the place has been absolutely dead. Is there really that much more demand for parking? They can’t just build some public transit to get there instead?

Anecdotally, most of the times I’ve been there the parking garage has either been full or nearly full.

Very true, but if there was a way to get there other than driving, there’d be fewer cars to park.
