I mean, he did knowingly lie about them in furtherance of a illegal attempt to subvert an election, exposing them to death threats and causing them to fear for their lives, so, yeah, this sounds about right #uspol

@scalzi *"Giuliani lost the case because he struggled to maintain access to his electronic records, partly because of the cost, and couldn’t adequately respond to subpoenas..."*

Correction - he lost the case because he's a scumbag who committed crime. The records issue just accelerated the outcome and saved everyone some wasted time.

@Philomorph @scalzi No, it's not really a correction -- he did not provide documentation requested by discovery, and the judge said "fine, then you have no defense."

So he is *even worse of a lawyer* than even his worst critics said, I think.

They're never going to see a cent but I certainly hope they make the rest of his life outside of prison as miserable as he is at being human.

@kithrup @Philomorph @scalzi As the judge noted in a quote in the article, he may have decided to take the loss in this case because providing the discovery material would have been even worse for him.
@kithrup @Philomorph @scalzi They can take this ruling and put liens on all his properties and businesses, and that would also reveal even more documents he wants to keep out of the public domain. They can literally padlock his houses, and freeze his bank accounts.
