As I pivot away for a bit from 40K, I'm trying to figure out what game(s) I should focus on instead, preferably at a similar scale. (I'll always have Warcry and Killteam.) Two of these games are from GW, one isn't. I have minis for two of these games, one I don't. I'm interested in all three and have rules for all of them. But which one should be primary? #wargaming #tabletopwargaming #warhammerageofsigmar #ageofsigmar #middleearthstrategybattlegame #mesbg #starwarslegion #swlegion

@nockergeek I voted for legion, but I’d say give smaller scale (force aize, possibly mini scale) options a try if you’re not set on the three you list: Maybe #infinityTheGame or #heavygearblitz both of which have free PDF rules and only require a small force to be playable? (Disclaimer: I’ve done a little supper work for HGB.)
@MacBalance I have actually looked at Infinity, and have a partially painted Yu Jing starter force. I find that the rules read like stereo instructions, though - it seems very complex (possibly more than it actually is), which is a bit of a turn-off.

@nockergeek I think the infinity setting is interesting and the rules have a couple major problems:

1. They’re translated, and the translators sometimes made odd choices a decade ago that we’re still stuck with.
2. Rules avoid a lot of common design idioms. Mixed bag. Things like the “face off” rules effectively encompassing attacks from both parties and allowing a player to spend all their actions on a couple key actors while the rest mainly exist to be a Reaction source. Not intuitive
