@nockergeek It was the inclusion of Legion that threw me a bit.
I can think of several figure-agnostic wargames that are outside of the mainstream which could be fun to play with if you're looking to get away from colonized space, as it were.
As it stands, Legion would be my choice because it's the most different from what you mostly play.
@lextenebris I’ve looked at a few agnostic games, like Reign in Hell, Space Station Zero, and One Page Rules. I find OPR a bit too stripped down and flavorless for my taste.
Legion is actually very similar in some ways to Bolt Action, and I’m familiar with other FFG/AMG games like X-Wing and Armada. I have forces for all those games, so it’s not as huge a jump as you led think. Also, being a huge Star Wars fan helps. :)
@nockergeek Have you looked at Five Parsecs from Home? It's pretty figure-agnostic, really, has enough crunch to satisfy you more than likely, and brings in some TTRPG elements which can be fairly Star Wars-flavored.
If you're looking to do something very different, it's certainly worthwhile.
(I like OPR, but I agree with you that it is very stripped down and if the flavor you're familiar with is 40k, it tastes a lot like it.)
