It is not even halfway through the second week of classes and the number of students I know of testing positive for COVID is VERY HIGH.

Covid tests and vaccines never should have stopped being free. High quality N95 masks should have been and should still be free. We should have rallied together and built something stronger and better and not let fear and political shills who wanted power and a quick buck divide us.

The people who knowingly and willfully politicized and weaponized COVID disinformation should, at the absolute least, step on a Lego or get a cat hair lodged in their sinuses, every day, for the rest of their lives.

They should never again know joy or peace until they admit what they did.

@Wolven I was surrounded by a family reunion cluster in July and August. We probably would have contained it better if it didn’t cost $12 every time you wanted to test. One of my teens missed out of a big trip this summer due to catching it and I think they probably got it from someone on a Paxlovid rebound. With more frequent testing we could have identified the rise in infectiousness rather than assuming they were in that day 6-10 ok to be around people if masked phase.
@sufficiency that's so rough. I'm sorry that happened
