Ruth / Anarchae#FFXIV So last night, before the party, @MsSammieRose and I ran Weeping City of Mhach, both for the first time. And let me tell you. I have not died so many times in the same duty ever. Even when I was a little baby sprout. And most of those deaths were definitely my own fault. I was probably operating at ~75% brain power so that didn't help, but it really demonstrated the difference between knowing what you're supposed to be doing & actually doing it.
I seriously don't know how people cleared this when it first came out, there are so many insta-death mechanics! The 2nd boss was what really got us. You spend the whole first phase of the fight avoiding the bad puddles on the ground & then you're supposed to stand *on* the puddles to avoid it's big insta-death attack. And then the third boss, the sphere, jeezy chreezy what a nightmare. The final boss was a relief by comparison because at least she telegraphs. #FFXIV
