Idea for @biorxivpreprint: could one sign up to receive an alert when a preprint is either published in a journal, or e.g. after one year?

This would be great to follow work just outside one's field, where the most complete/final piece would be of higher interest than the earliest version.

@anneurai @biorxivpreprint For the work just outside (or far outside) one's field it would also be helpful to receive a notice if the preprint is feature in a News & Views-style piece or review. cc @richardsever
@cyrilpedia @anneurai @biorxivpreprint that's tougher to do automatically since not coded as such in citations. but we do have a Follow feature as @steveroyle says. This allows you to see when a preprint is published in a journal, updated, commented on, etc.
@anneurai @biorxivpreprint agreed! ResearchGate has something like that..
@anneurai @biorxivpreprint @cyrilpedia I believe this capability exists already. There's a bell icon with “Follow this preprint" on the preprint's main page. The pop-up says “You can now receive automatic notifications when a preprint is revised, withdrawn, commented on, peer reviewed, or published in a journal.” I haven't tried it out though!
