But that's par the course for me - I tend to dislike very popular dramas. Disliked Ashes of Love too. Two things are deal breakers for me: An infantile female lead & terrible acting.
When you have both together, well, that show doesn't stand a chance with me lol.
@liztai Perhaps you might like "The Legend of Zhouhua" that is currently airing? The female lead is clever and does not have a squeaky voice. The male lead is powerful but not infallible so they complement each other. Based on trailers it also looks as if he is not the possessive type and is willing to forego marriage so she can have a career.
