@arstechnica I wonder if they figured out some monetization model for this. (Certified parts? Etc.)

Or if it was just that their bean counters calculated that the legal exposure vs the 'juice'/revenue from repairs wasn't worth the squeeze.

@kurtsh @arstechnica they figured out they can monetize it. They can sell parts, reduce e-waste, and it makes the brand more valuable because you can fix it. Kills the competition because they won’t be able to afford it because of the smaller volumes.
