rhempel@nixCraft what am I missing here? Living in Denmark I had a physical 2-factor one time passcode card that was eventually replaced with a digital NemID and then MitID app.
I was able to authenticate to multiple government, phone, bank and other systems and never once had to go through the stupid "prove you are really you" every time I logged in.
Oh, and I had a secure, end-to-end encrypted email box along with a secure certificate I could use for signing.
It was fantastic, really!
