Well done!
It looks like the #dotCons are going down the partisan path, with #DogCoinPusher doing the Fox side and BlueSky, the CNN side. Togather they'll continue the old #divideAndRule, bi-partisan model. Toxic. Time to move to federated.
If interested, here's a fediverse icon (and repo) anyone may use (and/or mirror) on Codeberg :) Its more accurate to say Fediverse over Mastodon.
@hexaheximal
Why not ActivityPub? Its not fediverse, only the brightest engineers know of AP.
In Jan 2021, someone said Fediverse lacked an official icon. It hit us that we shunned Fedi for a year due to the PentogramStar icon that floats around, and was the icon for Fedilab till early 2020.
The pentogram variant can never catch on. People reject witchcraft imagery.
(woops, the more popular #peertubeIcons must be added (will tag you).
@dsfgs true, I've seen people who know about Mastodon but not ActivityPub.
also, even the wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fediverse) uses that logo.
@hexaheximal
Typical #Wikipedia getting stuff wrong. For a long time that icon was only on #wikimedia, and as a "Proposed icon".
Wikipedia is guarded by some nasties who didn't like Fedi, or us. They didn't like that "DSFGS" stood for Dick Smith Supporters. They're a biased politics machine. Since then we learned they are a political weapon against entire countries and David Coppola(?), or similar, who blocked us is a homophobe, racist. All made sense.
