We took the Taycan back and forth to the Traverse City area yesterday, its first long distance drive at 450+ total miles.

Things were very smooth with the bundled Energize America plug and charge integration. We stopped at the same Meijer both on the drive there and back, yes this was a Very Pure Michigan Trip. Total charge time was ~20 minutes to get from 22% to 78% and another ~15 to take it up to ~95% on the way back. Although the terminals said they are capable of 350kW (“Hyper-fast”) it never delivered more than 130 (the car’s peak capability is 225kW).

Total cost would've been ~$30 without the bundled free 30 minute charge plan that comes with the first couple of years of ownership. Either way, a lot cheaper than the tank and a half of gas this would've easily taken.

Fantastic drive on some seriously twisty roads which were eaten up assisted by the 4-wheel steering which is just straight-up friggin' ✨magic✨ if you ask me.

@bruienne got me daydreaming of Petosky drives.
@bruienne I wonder if you drove through my home town of Kalkaska. Northern MI is usually drop-dead amazing in August.
@bruienne Kia EV6 in Chicago Suburbs, here. I have yet to see my car charge at more than 50kW :/
Gotta take some more road trips to break it in…
@bruienne Our Office is less than 5miles from the Porsche Headquarters & Factory where the Taycan is built, so all kinds of Porsches around me on a regular commute.
And I am buying a EV now, but I can’t afford the Taycan :(
