Can you say “cult”?

Sen. Bill Cassidy says Trump is likely to be convicted in the documents case and says he should drop out of the race -- but then in the next breath indicates he'll still vote for him anyway

The only way to achieve this kind of zombie unanimity in GOP talking points, is the donors.
Watching Youngkin being wooed is creepy.

It's just disgusting to watch those Republican megadonors get away with this crap while the media treats George Soros like Hitler or something.
I'm still predicting that the GOP nominee is going to be Tim Scott though.
@GreenFire @GottaLaff @atrupar
Tim Scott as the nominee for the party of "Let's bring back Jim Crow" ?
I don't see it happening with the Trump base. Ditto Nikki Haley. The base adores its bigotry too much.
"Bigoted Old White Men Only Need Apply" is stamped on their foreheads.
Larry Ellison, Musk, Thiel, Yass, Uihlein, Hendricks, Adelson, Bigelow, etc poured money into the coup and its cover-up.
Ellison is funding Tim Scott.
I ask why?

@Npars01 @GottaLaff @atrupar
I just think that there a lot of Republicans that would like to "protect" themselves from being called racists by nominating a Clarence Thomas-type POC that they know they can control, but we'll see.
Making strong predictions about future election results is part of the reason we're in the mess we are in imo so I try not to do it too much and I don't really know what will happen.
@GreenFire @GottaLaff @atrupar
Using women, LGBTQ, and POC as tokens barely worked in Corporate America at the height of the Civil Rights movement.
This strategy has a low likelihood of success.
They'll do a bait & switch to Youngkin or someone like him.
He's their kind of racist. So is Brian Kemp.
@Npars01 @GreenFire @GottaLaff @atrupar At some point, investigators & prosecutors will have to ask the obvious question about the insurrection (and all its component parts including fake elector schemes) - who paid for it? Who, for example, paid the "war room's" hotel bill at the Willard?
Just as the coup's foot soldiers and plotters need to be prosecuted, so, too, must we prosecute the money. And then we can seize it - which will underwrite the cost of the prosecution - and maybe even pay down our national debt some...
I remember him from Beavis and Butthead, not a deep thinker.
