@privateger and then the app is just the website plus some evil stuff inside a webview
@privateger how fucking disheartening must that be? "web developer, thank you for all your hard work. please add this banner telling everyone the website sucks and to use our app"

@annika @privateger and surprise... the app is actually WORSE than the website. Has FEWER features. 😃

Its amazingly terrible. (But to get the job as a web developer you gotta be Full Stack + be able to jump through flaming hoops while juggling chainsaws. 🥴 + 50 years experience. )

@annika @privateger And of course the "best" part is that it's almost always a bald-faced lie.

The app is usually worse.

@privateger Ah yes, web 3.0, when the website is just an advertisement for the app, and they only want you to download the app so they can harvest your data
@privateger I still don't know if this is supposed to mean "you could have done a better job with the website" or "your app is literally a website plus extra spyware because no adblock"
@privateger This one is doing NUMBERS damn
@hummingbird I muted this post after the first 30 reshares lol
@privateger I was gonna ask how the fuck you survived with all those plings
@privateger 9 times out of 10 the app is Electron and the remaining 1 time the app is React Native, why do you insist on making it impossible for yourself to vertically centre things
@privateger I never understood why they push us to install an app. very sketchy....
@privateger
What's more annoying is when they start REMOVING features which used to be on the website in order to force you to use the app...
